VVVR (Visual Voice Virtual Reality) combines virtual reality and audio effects to employ tactics that may feel familiar to those who have experience with traditional meditation practices.
In VVVR participants share a vast landscape where they can hear and see a virtual representation of each other. Audio effects transform the participants’ voices into a continuous soundscape. Upon listening to their augmented voice in union with their partners, they begin to experiment and harmonize accordingly. This vocal exchange potentially facilitates a shared trance like state.
VVVR satiates your active mind as your voice becomes a stream of glowing objects that flow from your mouth, shaped and colored by the amplitude and texture of your voice. This visual feedback is designed to transport you into the present , calming your active mind (your ego).
We are seeing participants experience deep states of relaxation without much effort. People tell us that they feel more relaxed and playful after VVVR. Participants often comment that they have no idea how much time passed during the experience and that they could stay there for an extended visit.
Can a measure of happiness be achieved just by participating in nonverbal activities with other people? Perhaps it can.
